OUR CSR POLICY

Our aim: to contribute to sustainable
digital development

DQE is determined to make data quality support a more sustainable, digitalized world, and to contribute to society’s ecological transition.

Our CSR commitments are in line with France’s national low-carbon strategy (Stratégie Nationale Bas-Carbone, SNBC) – the country’s roadmap for combating climate change, introduced by the Energy Transition for Green Growth Act (Loi de Transition Energétique pour la Croissance Verte, LTECV).

Digital sobriety: a closer look at our
eco-calculator

At DQE, we are well aware of the CSR challenges facing our industry in the digital sector, and
more specifically concerning data.

CSR challenges of digital technology

More broadly, the digital sector is confronted with environmental issues such as energy consumption, waste management, and CO2 emissions, as illustrated by these figures from ADEME:

10% of French electricity consumption is linked to digital services;

10 to 12 billion e-mails are exchanged in 1 hour worldwide (excluding spam), and the number is constantly growing;

Every digital use, no matter how small, generates cumulative CO2 emissions. For example:

The DQE eco-calculator

To meet these challenges and contribute to society’s ecological transition, DQE has developed a digital eco-calculator to help companies make the most of their data. DQE has set itself the goal of providing a concrete solution to the issue of digital carbon emissions. Aimed primarily at companies of all sizes and activities, our eco-calculator is a pioneering tool based on our business line experience in data quality processing. Its aim is to calculate the effective reduction in CO2 emissions achieved by the use of a reliable, high-quality customer database after it has been processed by our DQE One solution. This innovation offers our customers an unprecedented means of implementing concrete actions to reduce the impact of CO2 emissions in the operation of their customer databases. This initiative is a logical extension of our CSR actions. Contact us to find out more about the eco-calculator
OUR COMMITMENTS

Our environmental commitments

Our CSR program

Our CSR commitments aim to provide concrete solutions to the challenges of sustainable development and, in the longer term, to meet the digital and environmental challenges facing our society. Our CSR program is structured around 5 themes. Actions 2, 3, 4, and 5 are already underway, with measured results. The aim is to strive for continuous improvement in our CSR performance within the framework of a precise program defined for the 2020-2025 period.

1. Controlling how we use energy

Implementation of a renewable energy purchasing contract with energy supplier EDF for a high-quality, low-carbon supply, aiming for 100% renewable energy in the operation of our premises by 2024, and ISO 50001 certification (Energy Management) by the end of 2025.

3. Optimizing our IT uses and practices

Action: signature of the Responsible Digital Charter of the Institut du Numérique Responsable (INR) and signature of the United Nations Global Compact based on ten major principles relating to human rights, the fundamental principles of the International Labour Organization and respect for the environment.

5. Optimizing waste management

Management of all our waste in partnership with the social enterprise Cèdre, with the aim of reducing our non-hazardous industrial waste and waste from electrical and electronic equipment by 50% by the end of 2025, and partnership with the "La Fourmilière” association in Coufouleux for the recycling of our IT equipment.

2. Reducing the environmental impact of our clients and our digital business

Development of a digital eco-calculator for our clients, with the dual aim of raising companies’ awareness of the environmental issues associated with digital use, and helping them to reduce the CO2 emissions generated by their customer databases.

4. Working towards Net Zero carbon emissions from our business

Partnership with Reforest'Action to reduce the carbon footprint of our IT architecture and implementation of a carbon action plan to reduce our CO2 emissions by 30% over 4 years across our entire scope of activity (Scopes 1, 2, and 3).
