Pixmania, a marketplace specialized in the world of mobile devices, offers a platform for purchase and resale of high-tech products that are new, or are reconditioned in its own workshop. Its goods and services are part of the circular economy and the company stands out for making unique payment facilities available to its customers. Pixmania is the first marketplace to offer credit financing for multi-merchant purchases, at very competitive rates negotiated with its financial partners.
“In our ecosystem, relationships with merchants on the one hand, and with financing partners on the other, are built on trust. A high conversion rate in particular strengthens our credibility. But it depends in part on clean, reliable customer data,” explained Claire Menetrier, Pixmania E-commerce Manager.
As part of this approach, and in order to offer its customers the most engaging experience, two years ago Pixmania identified the need to reduce the rate of undelivered mail and improve the deliverability of the emails sent over the entire customer journey. The marketplace then decided to qualify in real time the telephone number, email address and postal address data collected from online customers.

In order to select the most appropriate data quality solution for its project, Pixmania examined the solutions and suppliers on the market. Pixmania has now integrated the DQE One modules for qualifying mobile telephone number, postal address and email address data in real time, as they are collected, from the marketplace’s customers in France and Spain. User input is controlled and assisted by autocomplete of fields, making online contact and purchase forms faster and more reliable.

First of all, at the contact form stage, input help simplifies filling in fields, reducing the risk of abandonment and supporting a high conversion rate. Secondly, deliveries are now more reliable, and DQE has reduced the number of incorrect postal addresses by half. “Undelivered mail has fallen by 43% in one year, with a consequent savings in logistics costs. This improvement has enhanced our marketplace’s reputation with customers and merchants alike,” Claire Menetrier pointed out.
Another factor in customer satisfaction is a brand relationship based on better-targeted and better-delivered email communications. “We have reduced the hard bounce rate of our email campaigns by 80% in one year. As well, qualified data enables us to work more effectively on segmentation and adapt messages, which in turn leads to better conversion rates,” said Claire Menetrier.

Mobile devices, since they are valuable products, are exposed to contact data fraud. Data qualification by DQE enables real-time verification of the existence and contactability of customer data.
