Improve the quality of your customer data in Microsoft Dynamics

DQE One, the Data Quality solution, is fully integrated within the Microsoft Dynamics interface.

CONNECTOR

DQE One: native Data Quality integration within Microsoft Dynamics.

Having reliable data is essential to the success of digital transformation projects, which is why DQE offers integration of its solution with Dynamics CRM via the PowerApps component. Thanks to our connectors, DQE and Microsoft’s client companies can perform data quality processing easily, avoiding costly and burdensome projects. DQE’s solutions are available for Microsoft via AppSource.

Check all the customer contact data in Dynamics 365

With the DataQ solution, postal addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses are checked and verified directly in your Dynamics 365 interface.

In real time, DataQ integrates with your front-end applications at the points where customer information is collected in order to check the integrity of the data entered. For postal address control, the solution offers autocompletion functionality to facilitate the entry of customer data into forms, whether for internal call center operators or for Internet users.

Unify your customer data directly in Dynamics 365

The Unify solution for Microsoft enables you to create and maintain a centralized, single view of your customers and contacts. Unify incorporates ‘Smart Contextual Matching’ (SCM) technology, developed by DQE, to identify duplicates in an optimal and relevant way. Our SCM technology enables us to go further than standard logical algorithms. Unify is integrated natively in the PowerPlatform workflow and provides advanced features for merging, Data Stewardship and monitoring the improvement of data quality.

In addition, the LOOK-UP module integrated in the Unify solution enables you to obtain a 360° view of your customers. This technology enables you to communicate with databases that are external to Dynamics 365 (UCR, e-commerce, ERP, etc.) and retrieve customer information to enhance their records directly in Dynamics.

FAQ

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is typically fed by multiple data sources — manual entry, web form integrations, ERP data flows, and imports from legacy systems — which means duplicates and formatting inconsistencies accumulate rapidly. Common issues include duplicate contacts and accounts (especially in multi-entity or multi-country deployments), addresses stored in non-standard formats that break reporting and mail merges, and phone and email fields populated with invalid values. The challenge is compounded when Dynamics is used across departments with different data entry habits.

In Microsoft Dynamics 365, a managed solution (or managed app) is a pre-packaged set of components — entities, forms, workflows, configurations — distributed by a vendor that installs cleanly into a Dynamics environment without requiring custom development. It is maintained by the vendor and can be updated centrally. DQE One for Microsoft Dynamics is distributed as a managed app, allowing IT teams to deploy data quality features directly within the Dynamics interface with minimal configuration, and to benefit from vendor-pushed updates without internal development work.

Without real-time validation, users must manually type addresses in full — a slow, error-prone process. With assisted input embedded directly in the Dynamics form, users type the first few characters and the system suggests a valid, standardized address from a reference database. This cuts form completion time, eliminates most address errors, and standardizes the format across all records. Several DQE clients using Dynamics have reported seeing form abandonment rates drop by 20–25% after deploying real-time address input assistance.

Data quality integrations for Dynamics most commonly target the CRM layer (Dynamics 365 Sales, Customer Service, Marketing) where customer-facing data — contacts, accounts, leads — is managed. Integration with Dynamics Finance & Operations (the ERP layer) is possible but less standardized, as it depends on the specific data objects and workflows in use. For organizations running both, it is generally more practical to enforce data quality at the CRM layer (the primary point of customer data entry) and synchronize clean data downstream to the ERP.

CRM migrations are one of the highest-risk moments for data quality: data from a legacy system is exported, transformed, and imported into Dynamics, often creating duplicates and introducing formatting inconsistencies. Best practice is to run a full deduplication and standardization pass on the legacy data before migration, then validate and deduplicate again after import to catch any issues introduced during the transformation. Going forward, real-time validation at every Dynamics entry point prevents the problem from re-emerging. DQE’s Duplicate module and ADDRESS/EMAIL/PHONE modules support both the pre-migration cleanup and the ongoing prevention.
