DQE deploys its Carbon Footprint Calculator
Companies and public sector players must step up their efforts to meet the challenges of climate change.
French and European environmental regulations are being strengthened accordingly, as demonstrated by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), in force from January 1, 2024, which sets new standards and obligations for non-financial reporting.
DQE is aware of the issues at stake, and has been implementing a CSR policy since 2021. It wants to go even further via the deployment of its Carbon Footprint Calculator for organizations.
The Carbon Footprint Calculator aims to:
1. Make organizations aware of the negative impact of digital technology on the environment by encouraging digital sobriety ;
2. Offer organizations a concrete solution for reducing the carbon footprint linked to their professional use of digital assets;
3. Support organizations in their CSR policy and/or carbon action plan (GHG Assessment) by measuring the carbon savings achieved by processing their customer database with DQE.
The Carbon Footprint Calculator is the result of a double in-house expertise in data quality and evaluating carbon footprints. This new service is fully integrated into and easily accessible via the “MyDQE” web interface. It is presented as a dashboard, providing information on the carbon savings obtained via the processing of customer databases by DQE’s data quality engines. The solution provides a carbon certificate to justify the results obtained in terms of the amount of CO2 emissions avoided.
The calculation of carbon savings by this new DQE tool is based on a scientific evaluation method.
